<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an epoxide by which the number of catalyst-regenerating cycles can be minimized and by which the epoxide can be produced in a high yield and in high selectivity by stably maintaining the activity of a catalyst for a constant period. SOLUTION: This method for producing an olefin oxide comprises directly epoxidizing an olefin with hydrogen peroxide or a compound capable of producing the hydrogen peroxide under the reaction condition in the presence of a catalyst system comprising zeolite containing titanium and in a buffer solution system comprising the salt of a nitrogenated base with an organic or inorganic acid and having a pH value controlled within a range of 5.5 to 8.0 in a solvent.</p> |
