SOLUTION: This conductor for a fuse contains one or more kinds of Cu and Ag by 85.0 to 95.0 wt.% in total, and the balance substantially one or more kinds among P, In, Sn and Bi. Preferably, it contains both of Cu and Ag, the content of Cu by weight % is higher than that of Ag by weight %, and concretely, the Ag content is controlled to 16.0 to 55.0 wt.%, and the Cu content is controlled to 40.0 to 79.0 wt.%. The incorporation of P in the range of 1.0 to 10.0 wt.% is moreover preferable. Preferably, it has a metallic structure essentially consisting of a fibrous structure, and the average size of the fibers is controlled to <=5μm.
