PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive granular liquid absorption material for quickly gelatinizing water-like human wastes, urine and the like discharged into a stoma treatment bag and easily filling them from a urine discharge tube of the urine path stoma treatment bag into the inside of the treatment bag. SOLUTION: In the formation of a granular absorption material 1, a powdery cellulose binder in which the function as a disintegrating agent is enhanced when being used combinedly with a swelling agent such as a water absorption polymer is mixed into a powdery water absorption polymer as a main material, and the strong pressure is applied to a mixture thus formed, and the mixture is compression molded into a granular solid to be easily inserted into the urine discharge tube 8 or the like of the urine path stoma treatment bag 7. The above water absorption polymer is a polyacrylic acid water absorptive polymer or an amino acid water absorptive polymer.
