PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of large bending moment in a foundation pile by expecting rigid-coupling strength between the foundation pile and an upper structure to small-to-medium-scale earthquakes, while a slippage is generated on the contact interface of the foundation pile and the upper structure to a large-scale earthquake. SOLUTION: The joint structure of a pile head is composed of a tabular cradle 2 horizontally fixed to the pile head 1a, a sliding plate 4 installed onto the cradle 2 and fixed onto an upper structure 3, an engaging section 4a limiting a sliding range at a fixed value between the cradle 2 and the sliding plate 4 and a stopper pin 6 fixing the cradle 2 and the sliding plate 4 at initial positions and having rupture strength at a fixed value or smaller.
