PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emit a table ultrasonic wave and always ensure the stable regeneration of a cleaning mechanism part by providing the subject device with the cleaning mechanism part, an ultrasonic wave emission device and a drive part of the device and automatically changing a drive frequency by the drive part of the ultrasonic wave emission device so that the ultrasonic emission device is in a resonant state. SOLUTION: When a tap water is made to pass through a water cleaner 1 which performs the cleaning treatment of the tap water using an active carbon cartridge 2 and a hollow fiber cartridge 3 and the hollow fiber membrane of the hollow fiber cartridge 3 is clogged, an ultrasonic wave is emitted from an ultrasonic wave generating device 4 to regenerate the hollow fiber cartridge 3. In this case, a drive frequency to be output from a drive part 5 is automatically changed so that the ultrasonic wave generating device 4 is in a resonant state. After the emission of the ultrasonic wave for a specified time, it is suspended and flow path switching valves 6-8 are changed over so that the tap water is circulated from a tap water supply pipe 9 to a cleaning water drain pipe 12 through a tap water bypass pipe 11 and a hollow fiber cartridge 3. Thus a reverse cleaning process by which the tap water is made to flow in the reverse direction to a routine water flow procedure through the hollow fiber cartridge 3, is performed.
