AUTOMATED ENDOSCOPE STERILIZATION METHOD USING AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF PERACETIC ACID AND HYDROGEN PEROXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel automated endoscope sterilization method. SOLUTION: This method for sterilizing the endoscope is implemented by a machine for washing and sterilizing the endoscope. The endoscope is brought into contact with an aqueous solution containing peracetic acid of a concentration below 0.35 wt.% and an amount which is not zero, hydrogen peroxide of a concentration below 6 wt.% and an amount which is not zero and acetic acid of concentration below 4 wt.% and an amount which is not zero and is kept in contact therewith for 5 to 60 minutes, more particularly from 5 to 15 minutes in a sterilizing machine.
