PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air massage apparatus which has an enough effect of rubbing. SOLUTION: With regard to an air massage apparatus which is provided with a plurality of air bags B1-B16 arranged along the longitudinal direction of a mat body and also arranged in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, a compressor 40 for supplying air, first and second rotary valves 41 and 42 and solenoid valves 43 and 44 which connect between the compressor 40 and the air bags B1-B16 for supplying air from the compressor 40 and switch the connection and a control circuit 50 which controls the first and second rotary valves 41 and 42 and the solenoid valves 43 and 44, a part of air charging time of adjacent air bags B1-B16 is lapped.
