PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double lateral leak prevention function by raising both sides of an absorption element toward the used face side from the reverse by gathered flaps, increasing absorption into the interior of the absorption element while preventing a lateral leak and finally preventing a lateral leak by the gathered flaps. SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin has an absorption element 10 and gathered flaps 20 existing on the reverse side thereof, extending outwardly in the width direction from both side edges of the absorption element 10 and having elastic extension members 21 in the extending portions and a leak prevention sheet 30 preventing a humor from leaking to the reverse side from the absorption element 10 are arranged at least in the longitudinal intermediate portion.
