PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic composition which exhibits good antimicrobial activity on all microbial species of bacteria, fungi, yeast or the like causing microbial contamination in cosmetics and has excellent safety. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a cosmetic composition formed by formulating a nonionic natural polysaccharide and a natural cationic substance. In short, by using the nonionic natural polysaccharide in combination with the natural cationic substance, the natural cosmetic composition which can give sufficient antiseptic effect and exhibits excellent safety with fine usability and sufficient stability can be obtained.
