PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a house with a straight staircase, in which smooth circulation is ensured, and a space under the staircase is effectively used. SOLUTION: A straight staircase 14 extending in the east-west direction is arranged at a central portion of a building facing the north side of a hall 3, and a passage 5 which can reach the north side of the building is arranged under the straight staircase 14. A living room 6 is arranged on the east side of the hall 3 in a manner being adjacent to the same, and an upward entrance of the straight staircase 14 is arranged on the north side of the living room 6. Further, a decorative shelf 4 is arranged on the east side of the straight staircase 14 to be adjacent to the same.
