PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically advantageous method for recovering abrasive grain from used grinding slurry comprising oil and abrasive grain. SOLUTION: This is a method for recovering abrasive grain from the used grinding slurry comprising oil and abrasive grain and includes an oil contents coarse separation process for removing oil contents from the used grinding slurry by solid-liquid separation and a heating process for solid contents for removing adhering components of abrasive grain by heating the collected solid contents.
