PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cleanly bend a metal plate to an U shape not damaging with using an upper die and a bar shaped lower die of one set of two pieces or a set of a small number having a push spring, etc., for rotation suppression function. SOLUTION: A reverse projecting curved face of the bar shaped lower dies 2a, 2b of a semicircle shape of two pieces are loaded to a support body 4 as freely sliding/rotating, an upper face of a lift shaft 10 is mounted to a collar part 9 of the bar shaped lower dies of two pieces as freely rotating to protrude to a support body side face, a push spring 12 is fitted into a protruding section of the lift shaft, the metal plate is loaded on the lower dies of two pieces, the metal plate is pressed by the upper die 1 rounded its tip, a first stage is conducted, successively, when a second stage bending U shape bending is conducted by rotating a pressing piece part of the bar shaped lower dies of two pieces, bending is conducted by suppressing rotation of the pressing piece part of the bar shaped lower dies of two pieces through the rotation suppressing force of the push spring.
