MANUFACTURE OF COMPOUND SEMICONDUCTOR SOLAR CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a solar cell by which a solution containing a chlorine is applied to a CdS film easily and by low-cost method. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing a compound semiconductor solar cell includes (a) a step of forming a cadmium sulfide film on a transparent conductive film provided on a light-transmissive substrate, (b) a step of changing a solution of a chlorine-based compound into misty state by ultrasonic vibration and to apply it onto the surface of the cadmium sulfide film, (c) a step of heating the substrate, (d) a step of cleaning the substrate, and (e) a step of forming a compound semiconductor layer having a p-n junction on the cadmium sulfide layer.
