PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical connector having high tensile breaking strength. SOLUTION: Lugs 30, 32 are arranged in parallel to the radial direction of a stop ring 20 in the upper and lower parts relative to the shaft of the stop ring 20 at the end of the stop ring 20 of the side to which an optical cord 10 is fixed to control the position of a heat shrinkable tube 40 in the axial direction. A tensile strength material 50 within the optical cord 10 is extended and arranged up to the end part of the heat shrinkable tube 40 between the inner surface of the heat shrinkable tube 40 and the stop ring 20 and is stuck by a hot melting type adhesive 60 so as to encircle the periphery of the tensile strength material 50.
