AUTOMOBILE NAVIGATION SYSTEM, AND NUMBER-OF-PASS-POINTS NOTIFYING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily judge a destination existing at a running road, by showing the number of pass points existing from a running position to the destination. SOLUTION: A number-of-pass-points detecting means 7 detects the number of pass points that exist from a running position to a destination on a road route searched by a running route detecting means 3 and are stored on a map storing means 2. A display control means 4 displays it on a display device 5 or a number-of-pass-points voice outputting means 8 outputs it through a speaker 9 to notify the user of the number of pass points existing to the destination.
