PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the size of a device to the absolute minimum and to increase the number of image forming sheets per unit time. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a 1st and a 2nd image forming stations having photoreceptor belts 1a and 2a, developing devices 1d and 2d and 1st transfer rollers 1g and 2g successively transferring a toner image on transfer belts 1f and 2f. Then, 2nd transfer rollers 5 and 6 transferring the toner image formed on the belts 1f and 2f on recording paper P are disposed on the recording paper carrying path of a recording paper carrying unit 3 having a recording paper carrying belt 3a carrying the paper P by leaving a longer distance than the length of the paper P. Besides, this device is provided with a transfer control means simultaneously executing an operation that the toner image formed on the belt 1f is transferred on the paper P by the roller 5 and an operation that the toner image formed on the belt 2f is transferred on the paper P by the roller 6.
