SOLUTION: This door phone device uses a public line consisting of a door phone slave unit 1D and a door phone master unit 1 connected to a mail server through the public line. In such a case, the unit 1 has a means detecting event notification from the server 2, a means acquiring an electronic mail from the server 2, a means displaying the electronic mail and a means storing the electronic mail.
