PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize the incoming situation of an electronic mail and a telephone even during an operation of a screen saver function, by synthesizing, with a display control means, an image for preventing screen sticking and an image corresponding to information stored in a communication information storing means and displaying them on a display means. SOLUTION: A display means 1 in a display device outputs a character and an image. A display control means 2, as a screen saver function for preventing screen sticking, displays the character and the image on the display means 1. A communication means 3 is connected to a telephone line or the like for communication. A communication information storing means 4 stores information obtained via the communication means 3. In addition, a line connection request detecting means 5 and an electronic mail incoming detecting means 6 are provided. The display control means 2 synthesizes an image for preventing screen sticking and an image corresponding to the information stored in the communication information storing means 4 and displays them on the display means 1, so that it can inform an operator of communication information even during an operation of the screen saver function. |
