<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a seal function over a long period of time by providing a hose with a flexible hose body, a nipple inserted in the inside of an end of the hose body and a sleeve pressing the hose body against the outer peripheral surface of the nipple, the nipple having a rubber O-ring at its outer peripheral surface. SOLUTION: A metal fitting 2 for supply of hot/warm water from a water heater or the like of a hose with a metal fitting to be used for supplying hot/ warm water from a water heater is provided with a nipple 3 inserted into the inside of an end of a flexible hose body 1 and a sleeve pressing the body 1 against the outer peripheral surface of the nipple 3. The nipple 3 has a plurality of protrusions 6 of substantially saw-tooth sectional shape at an insertion part to the body 1, and at the forward side of the protrusions 6 in the insertion direction two annular grooves 8 are formed at the circumferential surface thereof, while a rubber O-ring 9 is positioned at each the groove 8. As the material of the rubber O-ring 9, preferably a rubber material excellent in heat resistance and water resistance such as EPDM rubber, silicone rubber or fluoro-rubber is used.</p> |
