PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data writing and reading method which is reduced in cost by making the writing direction of pieces of data to be written to a memory nexto a plurality of pieces of data currently written to the memory, the same as or reverse to the reading direction of a plurality of pieces of data. SOLUTION: The memory driving device 110b writes new data which are interleaved by a transmitter 100 and sent to a receiver 110, in a memory 110a. At this time, when the data which are currently written to the memory 110a are read out in a row direction, new data are written to 8 blocks right after the data are read out in the row direction every time when data of 8 pieces of blocks arranged in the row direction are read out. When the data which are currently written to the memory 110a are read out in the column direction, the new data are written to the 8 pieces of blocks right after the data are read out in the column direction every time when the data of the 8 pieces of blocks arranged in the column direction are read out.
