PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability, concerning the replacement work of each process cartridge. SOLUTION: As for the image forming device with a front side plate 60 and a rear side plate for freely attachably/detachably holding a photoreceptor drum and plural process cartridges with processing means working for the photoreceptor drum 12, an opening part 61 for attaching/detaching each process cartridge 10(10Y, 10M, 10C and 10K) is formed in the front side plate 60, and also, an opening/closing cover 100 is arranged so that it may be independently opened/closed in accordance with each process cartridge 10, and then, one side part of each process cartridge 10 is held by the rear side plate, and the other side part of the process cartridge is held by each opening/closing cover 100(100Y, 100M, 100C and 100K) arranged on the front side plate 60.
