PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dimensional precision without impairing strength and to lighten weight by outsert-molding a sheet metal part on a synthetic resin part formed as a part that needs the dimensional precision of a slide base for loading a light source and other required components. SOLUTION: The optical pickup is constituted by loading required parts on a slide base 8. The slide base 8 is formed with a synthetic resin part and a sheet metal part which are integrally molded by what is called outsert molding. To be concrete, one sheet metal part is outsert-molded on three synthetic resin parts. The sheet metal part 22 long in one direction is situated on the lower face; on the upper face side of this sheet metal part 22, the synthetic resin parts consisting of a light source unit arrangement 23, biaxial actuator arrangement 24, and bearing block 20 are arrayed in this order in the longitudinal direction of the sheet metal part 22 for the integration. The most of the sheet metal part 22 is in a state exposed on the lower face of the slide base 8. |
