PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch capable of easily recognizing visibly the arrangement position of a switch even in a dark room without consuming stand-by power, and of requiring less manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A member having a phosphorescent pigment is provided in an operation part 2. The member having the phosphorescent pigment emits light when a room is dark at night and so a switch 1 is visibly recognized to be placed anywhere, eliminating the time for locating the switch in the dark room. Since the emission of the phosphorescent pigment requires no power, no stand-by power is consumed during power-off. Less manufacturing cost is required than a light emitting mechanism such as a neon lamp is provided.
