PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably pay media, such as bills with a high coefficient of friction out, one by one, by preventing multiple media from being bitten even when they are thrown in together. SOLUTION: A guide 16 is shaped in step structure, consisting of a surface 16c which is at a height of multiple media from a conveyance path 2 and parallel to a medium conveyance direction 11 and a slanting surface 16c which connects to the parallel surface and slants to the medium conveyance direction, nearby the press-contact part between a feed roller 4 and a gate roller 5. Consequently, multiple bills are not bitten to improve the reliability.
