PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively realize the miniaturization of an entire system by driving a diaphragm member on a plane nearly parallel with an incident refractive surface and changing light quantity made incident on the incident refractive surface. SOLUTION: For example, a diaphragm blade 8 is what is called a turret diaphragm having plural aperture parts 9-1 and 9-2, and it is driven centering a rotary shaft 8a by a driving part 10 so as to switch the aperture part, whereby the light quantity made incident on the light incident surface S1 of an optical device 1 is appropriately adjusted. The blade 8 is arranged perpendicularly to a reference shaft 2. Namely, the blade 8 is arranged in parallel with the incident refractive surface S1, and arranged in parallel with the longitudinal direction (Y-axis direction) of the device 1. Simultaneously, the blade 8 is also in parallel with the side surface part 6 of the device 1. The blade 8 is driven and turned centering the driving shaft 16 by the driving part 10 in a state where the turning shaft 8a is aligned with the driving shaft 16 of the driving part 10.
