PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily make the left and right width of a seedling planting device remarkably narrower than that of a conventional seedling planting device and efficiently transport and house the seedling planting device in a seedling transplanter equipped with seedling planting device for planting in a plurality of rows. SOLUTION: This seedling transplanter is composed by installing the seedling planting device so as to be respectively divisible into two of a right side part and a left side part from the left and right center, respectively providing shafts 13 in the left and right of the divided position of the seedling planting device, connecting a pair of lateral rods 12 so as to be respectively rotatable around the shafts 13 relatively to the central frame 8, respectively mounting a left and a right transmission cases 5 in the left and right lateral rods 12, changing the right side part and the left side part of the seedling planting device into the transversely directed posture at the rear of a traveling car body and making the parts movable so that the left and right width of the whole seedling planting device is narrowed by rotation of the left and the right lateral rode 12 around the shafts 13.
