Packaging containers (14) with a flange or the like are transferred separately from a feed device (13) to an endless conveyor (10) whilst supporting the containers with a pair of substantially horizontal chains (15, 16) using neck support. A substantially horizontal wheel (18) with peripheral rings for placing under the container flange combines with a rod (15c) forming an extension of one of the chains to form a roll path for the containers, at the end of which is the conveyor. An Independent claim is also included for the apparatus used to carry out this method. |
