PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly supply liquid nitrogen when a vehicle is operated at a heavy-grade territory or during acceleration/deceleration. SOLUTION: The superconducting magnet device for magnetic levitation vehicles comprises a liquid nitrogen inner vessel 41, and supplies liquid nitrogen 44 from the vessel 41 to cool a radiation shield plate 34. The vessel 41 includes a cylindrical first tank inner vessel 39 arranged such that its axial direction matches the travelling direction of the vehicle with the nitrogen 44 sealed therein to a predetermined height, and a second tank inner vessel 40 arranged at a location lower than the vessel 39 and communicating with the lower part of the vessel 39 so as to supply the nitrogen 44 to cooling pipes 35 to 38 through connecting pipes 42 and 43 from supply holes 40a and 40b. |
