PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce effects by local defects and reproduction failures at a training data field where reproduction clocks are corrected in phase. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a clock-generating means 110 for generating clocks on the basis of phase information, a clock phase-correcting means 113 for correcting a phase of the clock signal from the clock-generating means 110, a first correction amount-calculating means 111 for calculating a first correction amount to correct a phase difference of the corrected clock signal corrected by the block-correcting means 113 and data recorded to a recording area, and supplying the first correction amount to the clock-correcting means 113, and a second correction amount-calculating means 112 for calculating a second correction amount. When data are not favorably reproduced by the clock signal corrected based on the first correction amount, the second correction amount is supplied to the clock-correcting means 113, so that the corrected clock signal is generated on the basis of the second correction amount.
