PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication device in which simultaneous receptions is made possible, and miniaturization of the device and reduction of cost are attained by receiving the radio waves of positional information from a GPS satellite for a non-receiving period of intermittent reception of a ground system portable telephone set. SOLUTION: The radio waves are received from a portable telephone base station in an on-section of a wait receiving operation of a portable telephone radio wave form. A digital signal processing part 5 is switched to a receiving form of position information radio waves sent from a GPS satellite in an off- section of the said wait receiving operation. The position information radio waves are changed into the local oscillation frequency of a frequency conversion part 2 and then received. Then the local oscillation frequency of the part 2 is switched again to the transmission frequency of a portable telephone system, corresponding to the frequency of radio waves of the portable telephone system. The part 5 is switched to a radio wave receiving form of a portable telephone set. Then the radio waves are received from a portable telephone set base station in an on-section of the receiving standby action of the portable telephone radio wave form.
