PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring cable delay between base stations of a DECT(Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephone) and distinguishing abnormality thereof are provided to easily change a line and confirm the abnormality of the line. CONSTITUTION: Data to be transmitted is analyzed for judging whether the data is a dummy channel or a traffic channel, by decoding RF control data transmitted from a BMC to a MUX(ST11,ST12). If the data is the dummy channel, a counter is started after decoding a dummy synchronization field and waits during the fixed delay time(ST13,ST14). If synchronization of the received data is detected during the fixed delay time, the counter is stopped, the error of user data is checked, and an interrupt is generated to a CPU, so that the CPU reads cable delay between the base stations and abnormality of user data for reporting to the system manager(ST15-ST20). |
