PURPOSE: A controller of a wind direction mode of an air conditioner is provided to open and close discharge ports of a vent duct and a foot duct with a switch according to a set mode and to control the wind direction mode by the switching operation. CONSTITUTION: A discharge passage(4) is spirally formed in a discharge portion(3) of a blower case(1). A vent discharge portion(5), a foot discharge portion(6) and a defrost discharge portion(7) are formed in the discharge passage(4). Opening/closing holes(8,9) are installed in each discharge portion to control a wind direction. A wind direction mode is switched by operating the opening/closing holes(8,9) with actuators(10,11). The actuators(10,11) are operated manually according to a set mode pulse of an ECU(Electric Control Unit). A link(12) is installed in the actuator and the opening/closing holes(8,9) are connected with the link(12). Each discharge portions are opened and closed by rotating the actuators.
