The invention relates to a method for data processing in a radio receiver whereby programs which are run on a radio receiver using a software element are controlled using data from a transmitter and/or at least one data receiving device. Adaptation to actual circumstances for the presentation of programs is achieved. Data which has not been used by the programs for runti me control is buffered. Data is thus always kept up to date.
