The lubricating system for the bearing (1 -4) of a roller in a steel rolling mill feeds a mixture of oil and air under pressure from an inlet through the channels (8) of a distributor (9). A first lubricating path (10, V0) feeds the mixture over an inner section (3) of the bearing. A second path (22, V1) feeds mixture to the bearing and through a passage between an inner raceway (4) and a section of the roller shaft (5) through the cavity (V1) in a seal (24)to lubricate the shaft section.
