The invention relates to a device for placing loose sheet products, especially documents of monetary value, banknotes etc. The device comprises a transport device (2) for transporting the sheet products (1), a stacking unit (3) for placing the banknote (1) in a placing device and a binding unit (7). Placing devices of this type usually have special placing units for placing loose or bound sheet products. These placing units are therefore not interchangeable. The aim of the invention is to provide a device or a method that offers a flexible placing means for sheet products.
