PURPOSE: A braking device prevents the departure of a vehicle in a door opened state when the vehicle is stopped, thereby making the safe getting ons/offs of passengers. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic valve(5) is mounted between an inlet line(2) and an outlet(3) line in parallel with a stop braking switch(4). The electromagnetic valve(5) mounted on one side of the lower portion of an automatic door(6) is electrically connected to a nearby switch(7) operated on the opens/closes of the automatic door(6). If the automatic door(6) is opened when a vehicle is stopped to get on/off passengers, the nearby switch(7) maintains an "OFF" state. Thereafter, the stop braking switch(4) is operated by the operation of the electromagnetic valve(5), thereby maintaining the stopped state of the vehicle.
