Agent for stimulating bowel activity and/or for improving and/or normalizing defecation comprises a three dimensional spongy polymer network which, when it is degraded in the stomach or small intestine, is provided with a compound which is soluble only in the intestine. The polymer network comprises a foam consisting of gas-filled bead-polyhedric like cells bonded together as a highly viscous or solid mass. An Independent claim is also included for the production of the agent. |
