A propylene based polymer having a propylene-homopolymer or propylene-olefin-copolymer with at least one olefin selected from ethylene and alpha-olefins with 4 or more C atoms and of propylene content 98 wt.% or higher is new. A propylene based polymer having a propylene-homopolymer or propylene-olefin-copolymer with at least one olefin selected from ethylene and alpha-olefins with 4 or more C atoms and of propylene content 98 wt.% or higher has the properties: (1) a melt flow rate (at 230 deg C) in the region of 0.5-20 dg/minute; (2) an isotactic pentadiene fraction in the region of 9.89-0.95 (sic); (3) a material extractable by boiling pentane (C5-ext) (0.5 wt.% or more), and extractable by boiling heptane (C7-ext) (5 wt.% or less), amount of C7-ext greater than 3.5 x (C5-ext); (4) contains material soluble at 0 deg C or lower obtained by cross-fractionation-chromatography (CFC), of mean molecular weight 7x10<4> or higher and material soluble at 50 deg C or lower of mean molecular weight 6x10<4> or higher. Independent claims are included for: (1) a film prepared from a polypropylene composition obtained by addition of an antistatic agent to the propylene based polymer (claimed); (2) a film obtained from the propylene based polymers having outstanding metallizability (claimed).
