Process for filling a pressure chamber (1) with a metal alloy (2) comprises placing the alloy in a charging chamber (4); directly connecting the charging chamber to the pressure chamber via a metal-free flow-through cross-section (5); and rotating the pressure chamber and the charging chamber together about the longitudinal axis (6) of the pressure chamber so that the amount of metal required for casting is conveyed from the charging chamber into the pressure chamber.
