The supply of electric current to the fan motor is controlled by a temp. sensor in the flow of air across the refrigerant compressor and/or the vapour condenser. The fan is started only when the temp,. exceeds a predetermined threshold value, and its rotational speed is controlled by an electronic regulator. While the compressor is in operation the fan is driven at greatly reduced speed. A dry cartridge in the refrigerant circuit can also be used. ADVANTAGE - Energy consumption by fan is minimised in e.g. cellars where continuous cooling of compressor and condenser is unnecessary. |
