In the present invention there is disclosed sorbent of activated charcoal type based on brown coal containing ashes and being heat treated by carbonization and followed by activation, being based on crushed brown coal with granulometric composition range of 3 to 8 mm, with mechanical disintegration of 0.30 to 1.25 mme-1, optionally with relative decomposition of 2.00 to 7.52 percent, and which brown coal is formed from petrographic point of view by a structure of ulminite, gelinite and textinite being alternated by structures of attrinite, densinite, liptinite and inertinite, in which there are finely dispersed clayey minerals, whose gelling extent {SIGMA} G ranged from 59 to 62 percent, whereby after heat treatment of the raw material the final product sorptivity being given by specific inner surface area SiBET is in the range of 150 to 590 me2/g, iodine adsorption number I ranges within 180 to 500 mg Ji2/g, specific surface area given by benzene isotherm BI is in the range of 160 to 210 mg/g, bulk weight is in the range of 380 to 450 g/dme3, structural strength P is in the range of 125 to 167 J.me-2, whereby average thickness of coarse pore walls is within the range of 0.095 to 0.097 mm, average diameter of pores ranges within 0.105 to 0.118 mm and ash content is in the range within 7 to 25 percent by weight. |
