PURPOSE: A manufacturing method for a metal fiber sinter is provided to improve productivity by sintering fine metal fibers obtained by abrasion, which have improved sound absorption and filtering properties due to the fine size. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for a metal fiber sinter includes the steps of forming metal fibers of a predetermined thickness of 10-100μm and length of 50-500μm by abrasing a metal(S1), removing impurities or abrasing oil generated in the process of the metal abrasion(S2), collecting the metal fibers from which the impurities or the abrasion oil is removed for molding the metal fibers into a predetermined shape(S3), sintering the molded metal fiber group at a temperature of 1000-1550°C to bind the metal fibers with each other with a porosity of 30-90% and a density of 0.7-6.0g/cc(S4), and pressing the sintered metal fiber group for making a surface flat(S5).
