PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a molding having a cured layer excellent in functional properties and resistant to cracking even when it is relatively thick by forming a cured layer of a coating composition containing a polyfunctional compound having active energy ray-curable polymerizable functional groups and a polysilazane on the surface of a substrate. SOLUTION: The cured layer is formed on the surface of a substrate such as an inorganic glass, a metal, or an opaque synthetic resin. The polyfunctional compound used is desirably a compound having at least two (meth)acryloyl groups, more desirably, a compound having at least two (meth)acryloyloxy groups, i.e., a polyester of a compound having at least two hydroxyl groups, such as a polyhydric alcohol, with (meth)acrylic acid. The polysilazane used is desirably one having a number-average molecular weight of 200-50,000, particularly, desirably, a perhydropolysilazane. The amount of the polysilazane used is desirably 10-1,000 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. polyfunctional compound. The thickness of the cured layer is desirably 0.1-100μm.
