PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold paper fed by manual insertion, by a paper holding member for holding paper discharged from a discharge port, while preventing the erroneous manual insertion feed of the paper discharged from the discharge port to the paper holding member. SOLUTION: The partition member 5c side opening edge of a manual insertion feed port 5d, that is, the opening edge on the discharge port 2b side, is connectedly provided with a protruding member 5e. erected downward from the opening edge. The discharge direction rear end of recording paper P about to enter the manual insertion feed port 5d abuts on the protruding member 5e, so that the printed recording paper P is prevented from entering the manual insertion feed port 5d. The printed recording paper P discharged to a cassette cover 5 can thereby be prevented from being erroneously refed.
