PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a liquid from leaking without using a seal tape, a cap or the like during distribution and also to prevent the liquid from leaking between a liquid storage container and a recording head during use. SOLUTION: An ink feed port 103 for supplying a liquid received in a liquid storage portion to the outside is sealed only by an inner wall 102 forming the liquid storage portion. When the liquid storage portion is mounted on a recording head, the inner wall 102 of the port 103 is broken by an ink feed tube provided on the recording head. Thereafter, release of the liquid storage container from the recording head is inhibited until the liquid in the storage portion is used up.
