PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a vacuum cleaner as a small cleaner body by the reduction unless a grip is drawn-out and as the cleaner being convenient for carrying and vertical placement when the grip is drawn-out by providing the freely drawing-out possible or rotatable grip and a grip storing part at a part near the connection part of a hose joint part to the cleaner body in the cleaner body. SOLUTION: The cleaner body 201 is composed of a suction motor, a control circuit for controlling the rotation number of the motor, a power source cord and a dust collecting part for storing sucked dust. A hose 208 connected to a sucking port 207 is formed to be an accordion shape. A flexible hose part 209, the joint part 210 to be inserted and connected to the suction port part 207 and an at-hand part 211 operated and gripped by a user at the opposite end part of the joint part 210 are formed. Besides, the grip 100 and the grip storing part 101 are arranged at a part near the connection part of the joint part 210 to the suction port part 207 in the cleaner body 201. Then the grip 100 is disposed so as to be freely drawing-out and storing possible in the cleaner body 201 so that the existence of the grip 100 is selected by a way how the user uses the cleaner.
