PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sawing machine having high reliability and a simple structure capable of displaying a sinking depth in a foundation structure of the machine by a simple means. SOLUTION: The sawing machine having a base 1, a saw head 3 movable in a sinking direction, a blade shield holder 4, and a blade shield 5 relatively movable along the holder 4 with respect to the sinking direction in such a manner that a distance La between a movable end region opposed to the sinking direction of the shield 5 and a stopping part 6 opposed to the sinking direction of the shield 5 corresponds at a maximum to a distance L2 between an opposed surface opposed to an opposite direction to the sinking direction of the holder 4 and a movable end region opposed to the sinking direction of the shield 5, comprises a display means for displaying the sinking direction of a saw blade 15 in a foundation structure 14 in the case of advancing cutting of the saw.
