PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate use of a tonneau cover device by enabling a tonneau cover to be automatically opened or closed in conjunction with the opening or closing operation of a back door in the vehicular tonneau cover device for covering the opening of the upper surface of a luggage room between a rear seat and the opening or closing type back door. SOLUTION: The vehicular tonneau cover device is composed of an expansion tonneau cover body 20 for covering the opening of the upper surface of a luggage room 3 so that the opening can be freely opened or closed, and a reciprocating mechanism which is arranged in the luggage room 3 to be connected to a back door 2 by a wire and which reciprocates in conjunction with a winder which turns by operating or closing the back door 2, and the turning motion of the winder to expand and retract the expansion tonneau cover body 20. The opening of the upper surface of the luggage room 3 is opened or closed by allowing the expansion tonneau cover body 20 to automatically operate in conjunction with the opening or closing operation of the back door 2.
