A method and an apparatus for transmitting DMA(Direct Memory Access) data are provided to determine termination of data transmission by a transmission side device, thereby improving performance of data transmission by DMA without increasing a size of circuit. An apparatus for transmitting DMA(Direct Memory Access) data comprises the followings: a memory(13) which is a transmission source of data; a transmission side device; a DMA controller(12) having multiple DMA engines for performing data transmission by DMA of the transmission side device; and a DMA control unit(11) for indicating data transmission by DMA to the multiple DMA engines of the DMA controller. The transmission side device determines termination of data transmission on the basis of determination information received from the DMA control unit.
