STORAGE OF KETOL COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for the stable storage of a ketol fatty acid having excellent flower-bud inducing activity and plant growth acceleration activity. SOLUTION: A 4-24C ketol fatty acid wherein either one of two different carbon atoms selected from carbon atoms located at 2-site or n-site is a carbon atom constituting a carbonyl group and the other atom is an atom bonded with hydroxyl group is stored by dissolving the acid in a purified organic solvent. The carbon atom constituting the carbonyl group of the ketol fatty acid and the carbon atom bonded with hydroxyl group are positioned atα- orγ-positions. The purified organic acid has a purity satisfying the requirement for precision analysis use.
